The El Chico story began when Adelaida Cuellar introduced homemade recipes at the Kaufman County Fair in 1926. In 1940 the Cuellar brothers took their mother's famous recipes and opened the first El Chico restaurant in Dallas, Texas. Today, El Chico restaurants can be found throughout the southern United States, United Arab Emirates and now finally in Egypt at Stars Centre – Citystars Heliopolis.
