Orphan’s Day Celebrations at CityStars

CityStars held a charity event honouring Orphan’s Day on Friday 2 April 2010 at Stars Centre – CityStars, which is the sixth such event since its opening. Stars Centre hosted 100 orphans where an all-day agenda was specially prepared for them. The children were welcomed by several of CityStars’ team members, including Lamia Mostafa, Mourad Nassry and Basma El Azzouny from the Marketing and Public Relations Department, Maram Moussa and Yasmin Tharwat from the Operations Department and Sherine Nakhla from the InterContinental Cairo CityStars Hotel.

A group photograph of the children was taken on arrival at the complex and they were then escorted to ‘Magic Galaxy’ and spent almost 2 hours playing and enjoying the indoor theme park to the fullest. The group then went to 7th floor and enjoyed the set up themes that we had planned for their entertainment; it started with a circus show which involved juggling, equilibristic. Lunch which was prepared and catered by InterContinental Cairo CityStars, was then served to the children. Gifts presented by CityStars during the event, prior to the children’s departure from CityStars.

The children were gathered from different orphanages through the Doaa El Yateem Association, which is one of the most active organizations carrying out charity work and whose mission is to help underprivileged citizens.
